Fluensee takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information: email, password (stored only as a secure hash — never in plain text), name, username, account type, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google. Profile data: bio, website, city-level location (converted to approximate coordinates for local discovery — we never collect precise GPS location), and — for creators — creator type, skills, and niches; for brands — industry and campaign goals. Social platforms: the handles and follower counts you add, and — if you verify ownership — a temporary code check against your public bio. Collaboration activity: projects, applications and pitches, messages, uploaded deliverable files, and reviews. Overall ratings, review tags, and testimonials are public; detailed review scores and private feedback are visible only to the two parties involved. Tracked content: for posts linked to a collaboration, we retrieve public engagement metrics and public comments via the platforms’ official APIs. We never access private accounts or messages on other platforms. Technical data: login cookies to keep you signed in, and IP addresses held briefly for security and rate limiting.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To run the marketplace: profiles, discovery (including location-based search), projects, applications, messaging, deliverables, and reviews. To show you insights about your own activity — brands see performance of their own campaigns; creators see performance of their own content. To analyse public comments on tracked posts (sentiment and themes), which may use AI services. To send you notifications you have enabled, and service emails such as password resets. To keep the platform safe: enforcing our Terms, preventing spam and impersonation. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising.
3. WHAT WE SHARE & OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS
Fluensee is a browsable marketplace: your public profile (photo, name, bio, skills or industry, portfolio, ratings and review tags, social handles, and city) and public projects are visible to anyone, including logged-out visitors. Your email, password, private review feedback, messages, budget figures, and notification settings are never public. You can opt out of appearing in the directory and search results in Settings. We use a small set of providers to operate Fluensee, each receiving only what it needs: Google Cloud (hosting and database, United States); Cloudinary (storage and processing of photos and videos you upload); HubSpot (our customer relationship tool — contact details and account activity summaries); Google (optional Google sign-in, and YouTube data via YouTube API Services); Anthropic (AI analysis of public comments on tracked posts); and Open-Meteo (converts city names to coordinates — it receives only the city text, nothing about you). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
4. YOUTUBE API SERVICES
Fluensee uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public video statistics and comments for content linked to collaborations. By using those features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms). Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy at google.com/policies/privacy.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Rejected or superseded deliverable drafts are automatically deleted shortly after a project completes; retention windows for other media may apply with in-product notice. To delete your account and personal data, contact us at hello@fluensee.io — we will complete deletion within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal reasons.
6. YOUR RIGHTS & CONTROLS
You can access and edit your profile data in the app, control notification preferences, and opt out of the public directory — all in Settings. You may also request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time. Depending on your location (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data — we will honor them. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@fluensee.io.
7. COOKIES
We use essential cookies to operate the Platform (session management, authentication). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling essential cookies may affect Platform functionality.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Fluensee is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We will update this Privacy Policy as Fluensee evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notification before they take effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
